You are about to plan your special day! Let me guess, it’s making you go crazy. Aside from hiring a quality photographer, there are numerous steps you can take as a bride to guarantee incredible photos. we’ve narrowed down the top 7 wedding photography tips you should follow as a bride. This should help you to organize the day a bit more.

1. Create A Mood Board

In order to bring personalized photography, it is important for your photographers and videographers to understand your personalities and relationship. To help your creative team get to know you, it is best to build a mood-board. This mood-board is created on a website or app like Pinterest, where you can save images that you or don’t like. You can even save all the images on your cell phone and share with your photographer.

2. Schedule Plenty Time For Each Part Of The Big Day

It is essential that you create a timeline for your wedding day! Trust me on that!

There should be an estimated start and end time for hair, makeup, reception setup, etc. Within that timeline should include all your photo sessions such as the first look, bridal party photos, and couple’s session. Most of the time, we, wedding photographers try to help you to get the timeline done. So the discussion with the photographers is a must!

3. Minimize Your locations for your own good

In order to amplify photography time on your wedding day, we recommend minimizing the number of photo-shoot locations. There is no point in travelling all around the city for the portrait session. Select a location that you really want, and stick to that. A great photographer should be able to make almost any location work.  If you are confused on locations, ask photographers for suggestions. Try to get photos done close the venue so that you don’t waste too much time travelling.

4. Plan Enough Time for Hair & Make-up

Interruptions with hair and makeup can set the whole day behind.  Plan to finish the process at least half an hour to one hour before the schedule, too often do we see brides rushing because of unexpected delays. Once you are ready, relax and then move forward. Keep all the creative vendors updated with the schedule.

5. Wear a Long Veil

There is something about putting on that flimsy piece of fabric that makes you finally feel like a bride. That beautiful long veil makes for some of the best pictures, this is why we encourage brides to choose a long veil on their wedding day. Look for inspirational images online for your big day, so that you can choose the right veil.

6. Incorporate a First Look Session

One of the most remarkable and emotional events of a wedding day is when the bride and groom see each other. The first look makes for some of the most genuine photos. Make it special, make it count.

7. Schedule The Couples Session carefully

We can not stress this enough. Most of the time we end up doing the photo-shoot in the middle of the day when the sun is pretty much top of our head. Imagine two of you in a photo where the sun is about to set and you get that golden light. Trust me, photographers die to capture weddings like that. So if you booked your venue because of the spectacular view of the ocean or the gorgeous vines in the winery, it’s essential to schedule your couple’s session 30-45 minutes before sunset.

Last but not the least!!!

Hire a photographer, who is passionate, who is there to listen to you and not a big studio, who is just there to photograph the day and not capture the moments.
